Pilot studies with teams of therapists have been treating staff at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton over the past 2 years
Staff at 3 oncology units, Maternity, the Children's Hospital and the High Dependency unit are enthusiastic about this well managed project and therapists are now working on patients
A grant of £10,000 has been obtained to carry out research with the therapists!
Favourite therapies with patients are massage and reflexology with hand treatments popular in the oncology waiting rooms. The children enjoy sound therapy. Therapies included are Reiki, Spiritual Healing, On Site Massage
A senior nurse fears that if the staff levels fall further oncology wards may have to close. Therapy to combat stress in the staff may well avert this disaster
It is hoped this project will become a template for the rest of the country
Donations are welcome/talks for donations undertaken

We recently held a pamper day at a primary school in a deprived area. We treated 37 staff members and supplied 8 therapists. Facial Rejuvenation (Reflexology) was the most popular therapy. The staff have requested that we visit on a regular basis with a view of extending the treatments to parents and possibly pupils if regulations allow. 55% of the children are emotionally or physically compromised and the staff suffer a great deal of stress.
A pilot research projecthas been completed to show that there is a reduction in absenteeism amongst the staff at this school.

The Deans Stroke Club, Woodingdean. Regular reflexology treatments continue with stroke victims with great success. Kristine is able to treat 4 to 6 members per afternoon for 20 minutes each.
Whitehawk Inn, Brighton
This is a centre for adult training and people with mental health problems. Reflexology was very popular on Thursdays for £5 to £8.
The Clock Tower Sanctuary, Brighton
Homeless young people from 16 to 25 are just loving our treatments.
Targeted Mental Health Initiative
Following a pamper afternoon for 60 teachers at a primary school we have been invited to attend a schools conference in November at Brighton Racecourse and give treatments.
Local Schools Pamper Days
We do lots of these - treating parents and staff. Head teachers love it!
Spa Day
In Cornerstone Community Centre, Hove, on February 20th 2010, in conjunction with the Women's Support Network and The Body Shop, we gave taster treatments for £3.50 for 15 minutes to raise awareness of the benefits of complementary therapy and funding for our community projects!

Natural Health Fair planned for July 31st 2010 at the same venue!
